Edgar Ramirez, révélation du dernier festival de Cannes, rencontre un succès fou

Le véritable coup d’envoi du festival Biarritz Amérique Latine cinémas et cultures a été donné ce matin, après une cérémonie d’ouverture lundi soir, marquée par la diffusion du premier court métrage du scénariste et romancier mexicain Guillermo Arriaga ainsi que d’un film sur la révolution mexicaine, dirigé par Carlos Reygadas. Invité vedette du festival latino, Edgar Ramirez, révélation du dernier festival de Cannes dans son rôle de Carlos d’Olivier Assayas, rencontre un succès fou. Pourtant convié au festival de Beyrouth, il a préféré revenir à Biarritz, festival qui l’avait lancé il y a deux ans. Lundi soir, Edgar Ramirez a révélé ainsi qu’il avait achevé son premier scénario sur la Côte Basque il y a deux ans avec son ami Haik Gazarian et rejoint ensuite Paris pour le casting de Carlos. Mercredi, le jeune comédien rejoindra à nouveau Paris puis New-York où il présentera Carlos dans un festival de cinéma très chic au Lincoln Center.

Edgar Ramírez, la revelación del pasado festival de Cannes, se encuentra con un gran éxito.

El inicio real del festival de cine de Biarritz de América Latina y la cultura se le dio esta mañana después de una ceremonia de apertura el lunes por la noche, marcada por la liberación del primer cortometraje del mexicano Guillermo Arriaga, guionista y novelista al igual que una película en la Revolución Mexicana, dirigida por Carlos Reygadas. Estrella invitada del festival latino, Edgar Ramírez, la revelación del festival de cine de Cannes en su último papel como Carlos de Olivier Assayas, encuentra un exito de locura. Sin embargo, invitado a la fiesta en Beirut, prefirió regresar a Biarritz, el festival lo puso en marcha hace dos años.El lunes por la noche, Edgar Ramírez, reveló que ha completado su primer guión en la Costa Vasca hace dos años con su amigo Haik Gazarian y luego en Paris se unió al elenco de Carlos. El miércoles, el joven actor ira nuevamente a París y Nueva York, donde presentará Carlos en un festival de cine con mucha clase en el Lincoln Center.

Edgar Ramírez, actor venezolano, aterrizó al festival hace 2 anos como desconocido, estaba allí para celebrar el éxito de la película “Carlos”, de Olivier Assayas, también ajustada para la serie en el Canal +. El actor de ojos claros, que habla un francés perfecto, Hizo trastornar el corazón de este grupo de fans biarrences que vinieron especialmente por él (ver foto).

La cinta venezolana dirigida por Haik Gazarian y protagonizada por Ruddy Rodríguez y Alfonso Herrera, obtuvo el premio a mejor película internacional de corte histórico en el Sonoma International Film Festival

El año pasado en el“Sonoma International Film Festival” se premió a la producción canadiense “The Necessities of Life” como mejor película extranjera. Este año el reconocimiento tiene nuestro tricolor.

Al parecer no por nada Venezzia fue la película venezolana más taquillera del 2009. Con la obtención de este importante galardón durante el reconocido evento celebrado entre el 15 y 18 de abril en la ciudad de Sonoma, al norte de California, Estados Unidos, la cinta ya suma siete reconocimientos internacionales.

El director de la cinta, Haik Gazarian, junto al actor mexicano Alfonso Herrera y uno de los productores ejecutivos Tony Fadel, fueron los encargados de recibir el premio en el Teatro Sebastiani que sirvió de sede principal del festival cinematográfico. La única producción latinoamericana que competía en la categoría, venció a países como Australia, Canadá e Israel y se apoderó del preciado galardón como mejor filme internacional, correspondiéndole su exhibición en un homenaje a Laureen Hutton, presentado por Robin Willians y con asistencia de grandes celebridades de la industria como Demi Moore, Bruce Willis y David Duchovny.

La historia de amor basada en hechos reales que ocurrieron en Venezuela durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial por el apoyo determinante del país a suministrar combustible a la Fuerza Aérea Real Inglesa y a los Aliados para sus combates, recibió elogios por parte de las personalidades asistentes debido a su preciosismo, calidad técnica y originalidad temática-histórica de su guión.

Luego de este triunfo Venezzia estará presente entre el 22 y 26 de abril en el “Palm Beach International Festival” en Florida. Su director ya se encuentra trabajando en su próximo proyecto de nuevo junto a la escritora colombiana Valentina Rendón, la actriz y también productora Ruddy Rodríguez y en esta nueva ocasión con el actor venezolano de proyección internacional Edgar Ramírez.
