El canal AXN presentó la 5 ta edición del AXN Film Festival y a su nuevo vocero y conductor, el actor mexicano Alfonso “Poncho” Herrera quien entra al quite del venezolano, Édgar Ramírez quien le sede el lugar después de cinco años.

“Hoy cierro un ciclo, pero ha sido maravillosa esta experiencia, sobretodo porque el éxito y los logros son compartidos, yo creo que esto trasciende y para mi es muy importante haber puesto un granito de arena también en la difusión del talento cinematográfico en América Latina y también ayudar a otras personas puedan comenzar a tener otras oportunidades en el cine internacional, que yo afortunadamente, he tenido en los últimos años”, indicó.

Luego de agradecer a la empresa y a los presentes el apoyo, Édgar Ramiréz presentó a “Poncho” Herrera quien se dijo muy contento y agradecido por la invitación, “yo como joven se me están abriendo muchas posiblidades en el cine al igual que muchos jóvenes latinoamericanos que quieren demostrar y que quieran enseñas sus historias y mi trabajo en este festival, es básicamente servir como link entre todos los jóvenes y todas las personas latinoamericanas desde México hasta tierra de fuego para poder mostrar sus historias y estoy muy contento y muy agradecido, indiccó el ex integrante de RBD.

La 5ta edición de Film Festival contará con una nueva categoría denominada “Film Minuto”, “en ésta es fácil participar con cualquier tipo de cámara, poner cualquier idea que se nos ocurra, una história de máximo 60 segundos, no contando los créditos mismos que se podrán subir en el sitio www.axnfilfestival.com, donde el público los podrá ver y a la vez votar.

Asismismo, se otorgarán dos nuevos premios, el de Audiencia, donde el público actuará como jurado calificador de los 10 cortometrajes finalistas y los filminutos suscritos a través de www.axnfilmfestival.com y el premio de la Crítica, donde ésta se encargará de calificar y votar los cortometrajes.

El primer lugar se llevará una bolsa de 10 mil dólares, para el segundo y tercer lugar serán cinco mil dólares al igual que en la nueva categoría de “Film Minuto”
